Conjuration of the Sword analysis.(II)

4. Conjuring the Sword by 45 divine names and titles of Christ.

Although, in all honestly, our text does not say they are the names of Christ, there are a number of conjurations out there that contain much the same enumeration of epithets, that are just that. There are quite a few traditions that mention the 72 names of Christ, but fail to mention them. Some of them seem to be Greek or Cophtic, some Aramaic, bot most are Latin.

Some of the editions of the Key of Soomon do keep in one or more conjuration these names, but we only analyzed the ones reffering to the sword.

Any attempt to systemize these lists will prove too troublesome at this time, so the seeker that wants a finale for the Conjuration of the Sword has 3 options:
1. Keep to the text in the Keys of Solomon, for tradition’s sake.
2. Re-formulate the conjuration using the 72 names listed by Kieckhefer.
3. Make a list of as many names as possible, mentioned in these various texts, without repetition.
