  1. I am guessing no Hebrew lettering is offered for these names? do you think that Satquiel is actually Tzadkiel? Tzaddi Dalet Kaf Yod Aleph Lamed.

  2. No Hebrew lettering, I m afraid. European grimoires of the fifteenth century are not as careful with Hebrew names as newer ones :D

Yes, I do think so. His name is quite often spelled Sacchiel, Sacquiel, Satquiel, Satqviel, Zadkie, Zadqiel, Zadquiel, and so on.

The spelling is צדקיאל as far as I know, with a Kuf, not a kaf.

On a personal note, I suspect Hes also the Arabic Archangel of Thursday, Sarfayail.
(you should know, he s in the Grand Key).

It could be that Tsadqiayil (صدقائيل) was misread as Tsarfiayil (صرفائيل). The similarities are in the script, rather than in the phonetics.

  4. An anonymous treatise of magic very closely tied to the Heptameron, the Liber Juratus and the sefer Raziel:

  6. Hey Tolka! Pleasure having you here! CLM is the name of a class of manuscripts from the Munich Library. The grimoire was published in Kieckhefer s Forbidden rites, in Latin, that s why i m traslating portions of it. It seems unfair to call it necromantic, (Necromancer s manual) because the short angelic grimoire has nothing necromantic about it.

  7. Oh that book. lol. I used to have that. No, i can't see what the angels have to do with necromancy either. Interesting seals though. I will test them :)

It would be good to get further ties to other grimiores other than the obvious tie through names with the Juratus whose seals aren't in tact. That splayed Mercury angels seal I have seen before in another Grimoire but I can't think what Grimoire it is in. Any ideas? It's not Heptameron, Juratus, the Oriental ones, Discovery of Witchcraft, the Magical Calendar, or the veritable Clavicles of Solomon by Abognazar. The circle in the centre of Gabriel's is in the Mafteah Shelomah. The other variations seem new to me.
